20th Special Operations Squadron - Task Force Normandy

Task Force Normandy began the Gulf War air offensive on 17 January 1991. A combined Air Force and Army helicopter raid went into Iraq to destroy forward radar stations. 

Air Force Special Operations Command’s MH-53J Pave Low III Helicopters from the 20th Special Operations Squadron led the way for AH-64A Apaches from 1st Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment of the 101st Airborne.
